What is »jazzahead!« anyway?

jazzahead! is an exhibition and meeting point for the international jazz scene. Since its premiere in 2006, the event has enriched the regional and national cultural scene with its high quality and diverse jazz as well as with international flair. With a concept that is unique throughout Europe this interdisciplinary cultural event does not only turn heads in the European professional jazz scene, but also in German politics and press.

With a special combination of festival, conference, exhibition and symposium, where everything revolves around the topics jazz and culture, the event does not only address professional participants, but also music lovers from Bremen, Germany and Europe, precisely because jazzahead! is also over 40 concerts in 3 ½ days. Additionally, the event also incorporates occupational groups which seemingly don’t have direct relations to jazz, but are attracted to this music genre via the symposium (topics change annually).
