Davis Stanton

Stanton Davis, Jr. is an American jazz trumpeter and music educator who was born and raised in rich musical traditions of New Orleans, Louisiana.  He was educated at Berklee Collge of Music, New England Conservatory, and Wesleyan University.

Davis has collaborated on on performances, tours, and/or recordings with scores of musicians including George Russell, Mercer Ellington, Lester Bowie, Charlie Haden, George Gruntz, Jim Pepper, Bob Stewart, Muhal Richard Abrams, Sam Rivers, Gil Evans, Webster Lewis, Jaki Byard, Max Roach, James Moody, David Sanborn, and Charles Neville.  He has worked with groups such as Lester Bowie's Brass Fantasy, Lionel Hampton Orchestra, Mongo Santamaria's Orchestra, and Mario Bauza & His Afro-Cuban Jazz Orchestra.
