Cosma Vittorio

Cosma has been on the Italian music scene for over twenty years; he has been a producer, arranger and composer for Pino Daniele, Teresa De Sio, Enrico Ruggeri, Roberto Vecchioni, Fiorella Mannoia and Eugenio Finardi.  He contributed to making famous Alex Baroni, Rosso Maltese, Pacifico, Riccardo Sinigallia.

He has played with top-notch jazz musicians of the likes of Airto Moreira, Miroslav Vitous, Omar Hakim, Peter Erskine (of Weather Report) and Jorge Ben.He was an orchestra conductor at Sanremo (first in 1993 for the Enrico Ruggeri number) and the art director at the Festival della Taranta along with Stewart Copeland, with whom he also recorded a live CD which they played together on a world tour and founded the group Gizmo made up of world-famous musicians. He has composed numerous sound tracks for movies and television. He is the art director and one of the founders of the Mantova Musica Festival.

With Masbedo, Michel Houellebecq and Aldo Nove he made several video installations, some of which have been exhibited at the MACRO of Rome, the Pilar Parra of Madrid, the Salamanca Museum, the Biennale di Venezia, Palazzo Pitti of Florence and the Grand Palais of Paris. The same group originated and created the great multimedia event sponsored by Regione Lombardia called INDEEPANDANCE, which is scheduled to be held at the Arena Civica of Milan from 12 -14 September 2008. He has always collaborated with the group Elio e Le Storie Tese (Clayderman Viganò).

For commercials he composed jingles for Cornetto, Johnny Walker, Fiat Cinquecento, Coca Cola, Togo, Audi, Mediolanum, Rex, Jagermeister, Suzuki, Motorola, Galbani, Seat, Saiwa, Volkswagen, Pavesi, Voiello, Ringo…
