This year is no exception - festival “Rigas Ritmi 2014” from 2nd till 5th July organizes master’s workshops for musicians, theorists and fans.
Master’s workshops are among the cornerstones of the festival and are organized to assist young musicians in shaping their careers and presenting them with the opportunity to meet professionals and their musical idols. Every year, young people, musicians, fans, music teachers and journalists from different countries attend and participate in the workshops, held by world-renowned artists and music professionals. This year among the lecturers will be such artists as Mike Dawes (guitar), Albare (music industry), Jeff Lorber (keys), Rachel Claudio (vocal) and Edmar Castaneda (harp).
Mike Dawes (Great Britain) - an English virtuoso finger-style guitar player, best known for composing, arranging and performing multiple parts simultaneously on one instrument.
Albare (Australia) – one of the leading jazz artists in Australia; has headed the Melbourne Jazz Festival for many years. Under the sponsorship of “Gibson” for many years, the guitar player will talk about the secrets of the music industry and how to have a successful career as a musician from the business aspect of the industry.
Jeff Lorbar (USA) – has been nominated for several Grammies; talented jazz, fusion and smooth jazz artist, also head of the Jeff Lorber Fusion.
Rachel Claudio (France) – composer, lyricist, pianist and producer. Recognized for her performances in soulful, hip-hop and electronic music generas.
Edmar Castaneda (Columbia) – Columbian artist, who has taken the world by storm with his non-traditional and unique take on harp.
