Sarah Ferri & Alina Orlova / 2014

Dear all,

Please let us know if interested.

With regards,
Cveta Spasova & Ürün Eren

Sarah Ferri

The enchantingly happy Sarah Ferri is a hybrid. She is both Belgian and Italian. Her songs float between genres, impossible to pin down, she's as at home in many styles, and brings them together to make them all her own. And what an adorable voice! And what joyous concerts!

On her debut album ‘Ferritales’ she bundles her whimsically creative songs, some with a dark magical edge, some with a serious portion of gipsy jazz, swing or bossa nova.

In 2010, Sarah Ferri played at Dranouter Festival. Then, she was invited to sing together with Pieter Embrechts & The New Radio Kings and she performed as the support for Caro Emerald, Jools Holland, Simply Red and Michael Kiwanuka. The debut album Ferritales was recorded in a rapid pace during a very busy summer festival season in 2011. The album was released on Universal in April 2012.

Sarah Ferri’s busy year was rewarded with a nomination for ‘Best Female’ at the MIA’s (Music Industry Awards, alongside Selah Sue. Then, 2013 started off with a show at the showcase festival Eurosonic in Groningen. The success of this show followed by the release of Ferritales in The Netherlands and celebrated with a concert at Paradiso in Amsterdam. And we are happy to announce that Sarah Ferri’s going to continue this great year with a show at showcase festival, Reeperbahn!

Alina Orlova

Lithuanian singing poetess and song-writer who is also an exceptional live artist Alina Orlova, together with her musicians creates a shimmering musical world which holds the audience spellbound in awe. Her unique and haunting songs - both simple and rich at the same time - are shared between Lithuanian, English and Russian.

More info:

Orlova's fame began she was awarded an alternative music award A.LT in Lithuania, while being named Lithuanian 'Breakthrough of the year 2006'. In 2008 she released her debut album Laukinis Šuo Dingo (The Wild Dog Dingo), named after a book by Ruvim Fraerman about teenage love. That year she gave concerts in Lithuania, Russia, the UK, Poland, Ireland and France.

Her second album, Mutabor (Changeable), is a remarkably mature work - emotive and poignant, affecting and intimate. As Alina says, “Music is always international, everybody understands the language of music.” Mutabor takes her music to a place of emotional highs and lows. Less acoustic than Laukinis Suo Dingo, Mutabor includes subtle electronic colours and is as much about texture as subtle melodies.

Despite using acoustic instruments (especially the violin) and drawing from the rhythms of the region, Alina’s music isn’t folk, it's quite impossible to pigeonhole and unmistakably her own. It's baroque, tempered with sadness, almost carnivalesque, like gaily-painted roundabout horses which have broken free from the fun-fair.
Noticed by Fran Healy of Travis, Alina's song 'Vaiduokliai' was picked up as one of the 7 tracks to be featured on the EP 'Play. Stop. Rewind.' released worldwide in 2008.

This year she released a live album LRT Opus. She is currently working on her third studio album. She will tour extensively after the release of the album in the spring, in the meantime she is available for the occasional concert, and she is especially interested in playing appropriate festivals next summer.
