Orange Grove Artist 917.971.7156The current roster includes: Jazz trumpet legend John McNeil, whose latest OmniTone album, “East Coast Cool” with Allan Chase, Matt Wilson and John Hebert was Ben Ratliff of the New York Times, Critics Choice for January 9, 2006.  His previous album, “Sleep Won’t Come” was included in “Best album of 2004” lists compiled by Downbeat and All About Jazz.  Tenor saxophonist and clarinetist Anat Cohen whose debut album, "Place & Time was included in All About Jazz NY’s “Best Debut of 2005” list and who has been praised by Nat Hentoff as having the "quality of all lasting jazz musicians.  She has presence.” Vocalist/pianist/songwriter Peter Eldridge (of New York Voices) who All Music Guide says "belongs in the tradition of musical poets."  His next release “Decorum” will be released in March 2006. Saxophonist/clarinetist/composer Marty Ehrlich who the New York Times calls "One of the most versatile jazz musicians of the last 40 years."  His recent release on Palmetto Records “News on the Rail” was included in the JazzTimes “Best of 2005” list.   The Brazilian Choro group The Choro Ensemble whose weekly New York City gig has been voted best in NYC by the Village Voice. Trumpet player Avishai Cohen who the New York Times praised as having "all the power and tenacity he's going to need: he's the kind of trumpeter who can play hard, schooled, continuous improvisation with nothing but bass and drums behind him.". Avishai is also a member of the world music phenomenon Third World Love. Jazz Vocal Group Monday Off who were lauded by Skitch Henderson as having "exquisite taste, rich creativity, [and] fresh ideas…"   Israeli/Yemenite vocalist  Michal Cohen who lent her voice to the latest Cheb i Sabbah CD.
