International Youth jazz- and improvisation festival “Visioon” kicked off in 2003, the same year when Saue Music School’s Jazz Department was formed. This year is the festival’s 10th anniversary.
Festival Visioon 2012 dates: from 7th to 9.th of June. The main theme for this year’s festival is “Big Band Music”.
For the first time in festival history an International Youth Big Band is formed consisting young musicians from different countries. The first concert of the IYBB will be held on the 8th of June at KUMU (Estonain Art Museum). The purpose of this big band is to meet occasionally once in a while in the future.
“Visioon” is a jazz and improvisation festival, where you can meet the future musician, get to know their music and musical language.
Also there are various professional musicians from Estonia and abroad, who are playing concerts and giving lectures during this festival.

Big Band Workshops with guest conductor Jukkis Uotila
Formation of the IYBB (reherasals, workshop and a concert) with director Siim Aimla.
Flamenco concert with Jose Torres (Spain), Karo Sampela (Finland) and Maria Rääk (Estonia).
