AKBANK 14th JAZZ FESTIVALOctober 6 - 16, 2004 The 2004 sees a celebration of vital jazz traditions and new sounds of jazz with 27 different musicians and bands from Turkey and all around the world. The concerts will take place in St. Irene, Babylon, Cemal Re?it Rey, and Yeni Melek Performance Center. Workshops and film screenings will take place at Akbank Arts and Culture Center. The 14th Akbank Jazz will include headliners such as The New York Voices, Gonzalo Rubalcaba, McCoy Tyner, Miroslov Vitous , Nguyen Le, Dino Saluzzi, and The Mingus Big Band. A ?jazz-matinee? will be held at Babylon with Turkish artists special projects and a ?cine-jazz? evening with Rubin Steiner, Mark de Clive-Lowe and Jazzanova will perform at Yeni Melek.
